"Queen"

So, my Braedon is so into the Cars movie!  He has actually watched it about three times this past week, he watches the whole movie!!  He walks around saying, "my queen", which he is obviously talking about Lightning McQueen.  He cracks me up.  I had bought him a while ago a matchbox car of the green car from the movie.  I have to run to the store today and I am going to grab him a "queen" one.  Hahaha.  He's also been so into his trains.  He loves Thomas and all the other ones.  I got him a Thomas book a few weeks ago and on the inside cover there is a Thomas train track set.  Oh boy, he talks about that all the time too.  My train tracks Mommy, my train tracks.  I told him that maybe Santa will bring him some at Christmas so he has to wait.  Thought he'd forget about it by now, but he still talks about it.  Poor boy pushes his trains on a Little People airport road, hahaha.  I refuse to buy him the tracks until Christmas though, is that mean of me???

Yesterday we drove around in search of an open pool.  We finally drove onto post and went to one there.  Oh yeah, by the way, I apparently don't drive on post very often because my id card expired the first of April.  Oops!  They confiscated it and I need to get there this week to get a new one.  Lovely.  We did have fun at the pool though.  I dunked Braedon once, he didn't want me to do it again.  I would ask him to do stuff and he would tell me no because it's "scary".  Haha, he was making me laugh the whole time.  I can't wait for his swim lessons in a few weeks.

Tomorrow we have a play group involving whip cream and bathing suits.  I will try to remember to pull out my camera and take pictures.  Hopefully I can get some of those pictures on in a timely manner.  Other than that we are trying to wait patiently for Adam to come home, a little over a month to go......YAH!!!!!

FInger Painting

Okay so this first picture is just a picture I took of Brae today.  I think he looks super cute so I had to put it on the site.  I can't believe how big he is getting.  My baby boy is growing up.  I signed Brae up for Vacation Bible School the other day at church.  It starts the second week of June and I think Brae is going to have a blast.  I've also signed him up for swim lessons which will be for two weeks at the end of June into July.  Adam will hopefully be home for some of them so he can watch how Braedon does.  I can't wait to see how he likes it and how he is in the water after it's over.

Braedon got some finger paint for his birthday and we finally pulled it out the other day to use it.  He seemed to enjoy himself and I think the picture turned out pretty cool.  He would tell me what color to squirt on the paper and he'd spread it around.  Then we started making hand prints.  He accidentally got some on his toes and we both thought it was funny.  Here is the cutie in action.

Clearwater Aquarium

While in Tampa for Brae's Great Grandma's birthday party us kids took Brae and Destiny to the Clearwater Aquarium.  It was a pretty neat place, but what made it special was the dolphin that was missing his tail.  Braedon had a lot of fun watching the sting rays and trying to touch them in the water.  We watched the otters for a while, got to see a turtle up close, and we even caught the dolphin show.  It was a fun time, nothing like Sea World, but I think we all enjoyed watching the kids have a great time.

Here is Brae and Destiny touching a turtle.  Brae was giggling a lot and thought this was really cool!

Here he is sitting on a big sea turtle.

The one tail dolphin.  He actually learned how to swim by swimming more like a snake, but when they put his prosthetic tail on he swims just like any other dolphin.  He was so active and loved playing with a float that was in his area.

Destiny and Brae posing with the patriotic turtle.

Zoo

Brae and Kel playing in the water area.

One day we got out to the Jacksonville Zoo.  Braedon was so excited because he'd been asking to go to the zoo for a couple weeks before we got to Florida.  One thing I have to say, he has a great memory!!  It shocked both the boys when we got into the water area because they made us put them under this really cold shower.  They got so mad and it took some coaxing for my mom and I to get them back in the "fun" mode.  In all we had a good time at the zoo.
Milk Drunk!

Our newest little peanut.

Grayson's first bath.

Braedon's baby, at least that's what he says.

Everyone probably saw all these pictures, but I couldn't write a blog without putting some in it.  Our trip to Florida was great and it was hard leaving Grayson and everyone else.   I can't wait for Adam to get home so he can meet Gray and Finn who should be arriving in the near future.

Daddy's home for R&R!

Daddy arrives at the Killeen airport.  We were so excited and Adam couldn't stop smiling after Braedon!
Putting Brae on ski's.  He loved going down the hill, but not much else.
Here Daddy is putting Brae's house together.
Playing at the park near our house.
Bye Daddy, I'm sad to see you go!!!!  :o(

We were so excited for Adam to come home for R&R.  We had a ski trip planned and then just some hanging out around the house family time.  Braedon had fun running around the airport waiting for "daddy's plane" and went up and hugged Adam when he finally came out.
The very next day after Adam came in we were off and driving to Colorado for our ski trip.  We stayed out somewhere in west Texas the first night, and then in Colorado Springs the second.  I was so excited to see Sarah and Eve during our stop in Colorado.  Braedon and Eve ran after each other and it was totally cute!
The next day we made it to Copper Mountain.  We explored the first day and Adam and I skied the next day.  I was pretty nervous because it had been over 2 years since the last time, but I eventually calmed down.  Adam and I had a blast and Braedon truly had a lot of fun in the childcare.  We tried putting Braedon on ski's, but Adam and I think it he was a smidge too young.  He enjoyed skiing down with Adam, but he hated wearing the boots and having the skis on and just standing there.  Needless to say it was a very short day of skiing.  Adam and I skied one more day and headed out.  We definitely enjoyed our ski trip and can't wait to go back to Copper Mountain!
When we were back in Texas Adam put together Brae's birthday present from Mimi and Poppy.  Brae was climbing through it the whole time and loves playing in his house.  :o)
The morning that Adam left was pretty hard.  Brae looked so cute in his Daddy's hat.  Now it's just a few more months until we see him again.  Let's get this summer started!

Brae's 2nd Birthday

Okay so I wrote a brief paragraph before I tried to let me say, for the second time, put pictures in this blog.  For some reason the pictures kept wanting to go before my writing, why?  Sarah, you need to help me figure all this out the next time we're together because it drives me crazy.  It certainly isn't user friendly if you ask me.  Anyway, here are some pictures of around Brae's Birthday.  Aunt Char came into town for a few days, we went to the Waco zoo, and just hung out.  On his birthday, Brae had a pretty high fever.  We still had some neighbors over for pizza and cake, but Brae didn't want any.  I know he wasn't feeling very well, but he still seemed to have a fun day!

Aunt Char and Brae at the zoo.
Looking at a card and about to blow out his candles.  He's very good at blowing them out by the way.  He doesn't need any help!
Opening up some presents the neighbors gave him.
Winding down from a long Birthday.

He was all tuckered out.  I got this because he looked so darn cute.  I love how he's started putting his hands behind his head when he's sleeping.  Cutie pie!

Adam and I can't believe it's been two years already.  Time sure flies and we look forward to many more memories with this little stinker.  One of these days we'll have to add another to our mix.  :o)
